Tea Tower is a mobile game about stacking teacups, made by ai.doo. The whole game plays offline on your device. It has one online feature, a leaderboard, and you can switch posting to it off. This policy explains what the game keeps on your phone, what the leaderboard sends if you leave it on, and how to have an entry removed. Our website: https://www.aidoo.biz.
Tea Tower does not create an account and never asks who you are. It keeps a few small values in the app's own storage on your phone so it can remember you between sessions:
None of this is transmitted except the handful of fields listed under “The leaderboard” below.
Every part of the game plays offline. The one network feature is the leaderboard. The app requests the internet permission so the leaderboard can work, and nothing else in the game uses it. There are no online accounts and no cloud saves.
The leaderboard ranks players' best runs against everyone else's. When a run ends and posting is switched on, the game sends these fields, and nothing else, over HTTPS to our own service at ttsb.aidoo.biz:
If you change your name, the new name and your player ID are sent. When you open the leaderboard, the game sends your player ID to look up your own place on it.
That is the whole list. There is no real name, no email address, no location, no device or advertising identifier, and nothing that identifies your phone. The player ID is random and is not linked to an account, because there are no accounts. Our service, like any web server, sees the network address a request comes from; it uses it only to limit how often one address can post, and does not store it with your runs.
Switching it off. Open Settings (the teaspoon on the title screen) and set Post scores to Off. With posting off, no run is ever sent, your name is not sent, the game does not ask the server where you stand, and any runs waiting to be sent are discarded rather than sent later. You can still read the leaderboard, and the rest of the game is unchanged.
If you play with no signal. A finished run waits on your device and is sent the next time the game can reach the service, so an entry may arrive some time after you played.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or payment data. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no tracking of any kind.
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or anyone else. The one thing that is public is the leaderboard itself: your name, score, cups and rank are visible to other players, which is the point of a leaderboard. Your player ID is never shown to anyone.
Names are filtered automatically, and we may change or remove a name that is offensive or abusive. This does not affect your score.
Leaderboard entries are kept on our own server for as long as the leaderboard runs. Everything else is stored only on your device; to remove it, uninstall the game or clear its data in your device settings. Clearing the data also discards your player ID, so any entries you posted are left with no way to trace them back to you.
To have a leaderboard entry removed, or to report a name, email hello@aidoo.biz and include the name shown in the game. We will remove the entry.
Tea Tower is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. The game asks for no personal information at any point. The leaderboard carries only a random ID, a name and the numbers from a run, and posting to it can be switched off entirely.
If a change to the game changes how data is handled, we will update this policy before that change ships.
